Substance Free Allamakee

Description: Substance-Free Allamakee was created in the fall of 2010 in order to effectively address alcohol, tobacco and illicit drug prevention in the county. The coalition actively works to educate alcohol, tobacco and illicit drug prevention in the county. The coalition actively works to educate the public on the negative impact substance abuse has on the county. Coalition members use press releases, annual town hall meetings and annual prescription drug drop off events as a way to bring substance abuse related topics to the forefront. Description:The TFQC is a bi-state coalition formed out of a visionary effort to unite many local resources to reduce the impact of tobacco and improve the health of the Quad City community. The TFQC was formed in an effort to eliminate agencies within the community working independently to manage one or more of the health issues related to tobacco for a specific group.
